SACRAMENTO SUNSET ENGAGEMENT PHOTOS | RACHEL & RORRY

ENGAGEMENTS

I met up with Rachel and Rorry on the private farm, surrounded by 360 degree views of picturesque golden fields of California. I was pleasantly surprised with a beautifully decorated arch which Rachel chose to use as a backdrop for their engagement session. I absolutely love it when my couples get creative! Following Rachel’s social media and talking with her about wedding planning progress, shows that this bride to be has a great taste and undoubted talent for putting things together. This is also the reason why I cannot wait for Rachel and Rorry’s Tahoe wedding this upcoming June!

HOW DID YOU MEET?

Rorry and I met at a small town bar called Wrangler in Wilton one night when my sister dragged me out after a bad breakup. He was sweet and we talked and danced and he left before I could say goodbye. Fortunately he continued to see my sister at that bar later on and kept asking about me but I was in no space to go on a date. Then nine months later it was summer and I was doing all sorts of traveling and saying yes to all new opportunities when again I found that out Rorry had asked for my number so I decided to finally give in and go on this date. Needless to say it was an amazing date and we were inseparable since.

HOW DID YOU GET ENGAGED?

After a year of dating we got pregnant and Rorry was so excited to start a family even though we weren’t ready for marriage yet. We both were scared but knew we had each other. It was hard but once we got through the first year of having a kid our relationship got stronger. Three years after we met he proposed to me on the 4th of July at a festival next to a pond. We will be engaged two years and together for five by our wedding date.
