WALK IN MARK TWAIN'S FOOTSTEPS - VIRGINIA CITY, NEVADA

Virginia City offers a unique look into the past. Situated in Nevada desert it used to be a silver mining boomtown. It also could be considered the "birthplace" of Mark Twain, as it was here, that writer Samuel Clemens, then a reporter on the local Territorial Enterprise newspaper, first used his famous pen name.
Today, it is the nation’s largest National Historic Landmark.
